The Gateway Program is a social enterprise that uses working with beads and jewellery-making as an aid and a tool for therapeutic relaxation and rehabilitation.

We incorporate art therapy skills into our facilitated workshop programs to promote and improve people’s lives and mental well being within the community.

Our services are community-based and currently cover boroughs within North and Northwest London. We work alongside organisations with clients who have had or are still experiencing some form of mental health breakdown in their lives. They vary from the effects of everyday stress as well as related issues such as Domestic Violence, Depression, Postnatal Depression and Homelessness. We are involved in helping and supporting client mental well-being.

Mission Statement

Working with their creativity, the Gateway Project aims to help service users build self-confidence and raise self-esteem. The work they produce develops their creative abilities and skills in jewellery-making, as well as helping in understanding measurements and improving existing numerical skills.

We act as a platform for empowering and redirecting individuals to realise their goals and true potential. We aim to help bridge the gap between returning back into the community and working towards mainstream Education, Training and Employment.

Creating a calm, relaxing, comforting and friendly environment, the Gateway Program offers both one-day and twelve-weekly jewellery-making sessions where women/individuals experiencing these conditions may meet, join and share with other service users their experiences, with the opportunity to express and channel their feelings and tell their stories.

We also offer one-day jewellery-making and mental well-being workshops for corporate groups, networking and team building events.
